I bought a set from Bryant Motorsports on ebay. They are brand new ones from Ford Racing. He has a set listed for $208 buy it now. Ebay item number: 280119133380. I then bought new drums from Rockauto.com for I think $20 a piece with 5-1/2 bolt pattern

  3. I don't see why you couldn't find something like that in the junkyard.

Before they started making new drums for 57-8 wagons and Rancheros, the thing to do was to get the backers, brakes and drums from a later 60's wagon.

Direct bolt on and a little wider.

Try something like mid 60's TBirds or Galaxies. They had wider brakes, same diameter. You will need the backing plates to fit. I put 63 TBird on my 57/59 rear.

Most older junk yards are FULL of them ... :) REALLY ...

I used a 65 Galaxie 9 inch backing plates and brake stuff on my 57 housing ... just match up the housing ends ... Fords back then came with two different sizes. Small and Large ... and the backing MUST match ...

NAPA and Car Quest have the shoes, drums and spring kits. Wheel cylinders too. All you need used is the backing plates.

On my 32 3W rear end ... I got lucky ... the 65 Galaxie that I found in the junk yard had almost brand new drums ( never been turned ) so I just turned them and bought new springs, adjusters, wheel cylinders :)

    C7AZ1126B is the Ford # for the 65 to 68 brake drum 11 X 2.25

There are other Fords with even wider brake drums 11 X 2.5 and the 5 on 4.5 wheel pattern.

1967-71 Mustang, Cougar had small bearing 9 inch housing ends. Not sure about Torino/ Montego, they may have a wider housing and the big bearing ends.

Could it be early Econoline van parts? They had 9-inch with the smaller 5x4.5 p***enger car pattern. Not sure if they were also small bearing ends, but I suspect maybe since the small car bolt pattern.
