I still want to change the wheels, and need to get a trunk mat, but other than that it's as done as I going to get it .... for now. This is my go to work, drop the kid at school and stop by the grocery car, so I tried to keep that in mind and not make it to the point I was scared to park it in the parking lot or leave it out in the rain. And besides I got other projects I'm really wanting to get to, so for now.....

    Nice car.
Keep the wheels, gives it that "Rocky style" look...

Just my opinion, but without the nose in the air it needs a front bumper...

Those are rally wheels arent they? Dont think it looks that bad with them. What did you have in mind?
IMO the only thing I would remove is that hood scoop, does nothing for the car.

That scoop is silly. Looks like you blocked off the Heat and A/C also. Or am I imagining things?? Killer little reliable daily though. I like!

Wheel change will be to American Salt Flat Specials, I just feel like the wheels turned out to close to the same color as the car, and I'd like to see some shiney to offset the flat paint.

And yes the heater is blocked off, no A/C. Heater, for me anyway, is not a high priority around here. It made almost 90 yesterday.

Now the scoop. It took me over a year to talk a friend of mine into selling me those (matching Cal-Custom valve covers, voltage regulator cover, and scoop) For me the scoop was the iceing on the cake though. Any self respecting 60s rod has to have one. This one came off a g***er I knew as a kid ... a 55 called the Gray Ghost. Worries me some cause people are always tring to buy it, and I'm afraid I'll come out one day and it will be gone. And at the price they get on ebay ... well I got mine alot cheaper.

Anyway, glad ya'll like it. We're having alot of fun with it.

Then I think I'd sell it, it really does nothing for the car IMHO. But it's a nice car otherwise, and I'd be proud to drive it with or without the scoop.

Gee, T, when did you get the upholstery done? Did you and Tina do that? Looks great.

We've got vent windows, what do we need A/C for? We've got our mild winters and long sleeved shirts... who needs a heater?

Your choice in wheels will match the rest of the cl*** that you put in all of your projects.

Now for the hood scoop.... Sorry. It ****s. Give it to me.

    best, Pete

Just kidding, Terry. The scoop is cool.

  16. Sure like the way it sits...

Different than the majority of 49-54's out there...more hot rod, less kustom.

Maybe you'd be happier with the wheels if they were painted the same color as the accent on the quarter panels?

Nice...different...I like the tank in the grill too
