If you are selling a fibergl*** 34.... big news...its not a 34! Its a gl*** car, so put it in the ***le. If you are selling a roadster which was a coupe with the top cut off... guess what? Its a coupe with the top hacked off. If you are selling 1932 Ford interior, but its really 1985 seat covers for a cheezy 1985 seat. Thats exactly what it is.... There is a ton of **** slipping through the crackshere.... New Ford motors, etc.... This is an old Forum for real deal cars....not imposter ****. It is what it is....so list it like that so we keep the band witdth down to a minumum. And stop posting on peoples threads asking questions.....you all know the F'ing rules. We need a Hamb Nazi to weed out the weak. No warnings, just remove it! Lets get it together. Yes, I had my coffee... I've been biting my tongue for too long. I wake up early every morning and enjoy the Hamb before I go out in the garage each day...lets not waste each others time with **** for sale that it truly isn't. Thanks...
no this is for real. also been biting my tounge. being somewhat new to the hamb, it dosent take much intelligence or time to figure this process out and RESPECT IT. I was able and, hell I can spell.
It should'nt be closed....I'm not starting ****. I'm trying to further help the Hamb, its people, us! There is no reason to fight. Guys make up these lenghty thread ***les and never put that its GL*** in it. So we all open it and turn right back around. Guys with the rodaster coupes too. Its a coupe without top, or a coupster...not a roadster. Put it in the ***le, no bid deal! Thats all I'm saying...
Well...I dont know who the hell is going to read it down here.... Surely not the new people, they just jump right in... If i was a moderator, I would slit my wrists long ago with this nonsence...
This is about the tenth post like this in as many days. They usually turn into Newby bashing and that gets old. Hell, in the grand scheme of things I'm a newby. Problem is we hold a higher standard for our site than most sites do. And when I say OUR site, I'm talking about all 35,000 =/- of us. So this brings people who have no idea what we are trying to do and why we have the rules we have. It also brings people who haven't figured out the value of what they're selling So you take the good with the bad and you keep trucking. I'd say if us Mods can stomache it you all should be able to also. The only way to get around it is education. Unfortunately, any automated means of educating newbies is bulky and ineffective so some learn the hard way. It's all good. If you see something that chaps your ***, send the dude a pm. Try not to be a **** in it and you may be surprised at the outcome. As far as being a moderator and the toll it takes.... It's not as bad as it looks. It does take a "special" person for sure. I've been told I'm "special" my whole life. I wouldn't trade the experience for anything.
"I've been told I'm "special" my whole life. I wouldn't trade the experience for anything." You ARE special Rashy!!! It says so right on your padded helmet!
"If i was a moderator, I would slit my wrists long ago with this nonsence..." Naaaaa - There isn't anything on here that I take personal, I just dig Old Car **** along with the rest of you guys. If guys would just read the rules - we wouldn't have to Moderate anything. Have we tightened up the ship - yea.....compared to 2-3 years ago....... I remember well, 2-3 short years ago cl***ifieds in which guys would sit home all day and Bump there ad (s) every 10 minutes to keep there ad at the top all day and the poor dude who posted before going to work comes home and finds his ad on page 8. Or the hazing/ verbal carnage / ganging up on a newbie who didn't introduce himself. Guys would go ape **** with abuse on newbies. Hopefully were doing right as I guess our growth rate of new members / ads etc has risen agressively in the last 2 years. Appreciate you guys sending us reports on guys who abuse or aren't aware of rules - it does help us. Just remember - when in doubt ask ! Still having fun ....... Cob
