Hey guys, I have all of the trim for my '55 super 88, but its in the back seat! I need to find out where to buy the clips that you use to attach the pieces to the body. The trim is 99% perfect, but the clips are destroyed by rust and/or missing. Also, a few weeks ago I started a post about brake pedals on these cars and a member replyed that he used a chevy truck brake pedal in his S88, mounting it to a 1/8" plate. I have some questions for you! I tried using search to find the old post, but had no luck. Thanks guys- John
(just makin' sure this thread don't get 4 pages behind before people get home from work, see it, and post thought provoking, awe inspiring wisdom on olds trim clips for me....)
fasteners plus has a store on ebay with rare clips-fusick has a lot of stuff-um brake pedal? do you mean the rubber?fusick has that or steele rubber
Auveco has always been a big supplier of trim clips. Search their site. http://www.auveco.com/product/auto.html
Do not use the original push in clips or your trim will no longer be 99%. I only use the clips with nuts on the back which prevent damaging the stainless.
sorry for an ebay link but this guy sells the right clips: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/50-5...012QQitemZ220171272703QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW
