This is what I've been up to for the last few months. This is coupe will be going to its new home in the bay area very soon. The rundown is this: Very hot 2.3 L pinto motor 4 speed 8 inch rear dropped front axle 6 inch Z in the rear It turned out to be a pretty cool little car. Are there things I would do different? Sure, but the customer is always right. I just have a few last things to finish up, then its on to something else.
Cool ride. I love the tall Ts - you just don't see many any more. Only saw one at the NSRA Nats in York this year. I just joined the HAMB tonight and have a 27 Tudor. I want to do mine very similar to yours. Can you give me some additional specs on your ch***is setup, like front axle/spring combo, rear spring, frame boxing, brakes and wheels/tire combo. Here is mine as it sat tonight in my very dirty garage that I am getting ready to paint and build cabinets for. Also pic of my daughter at the Nats.
It has a mono spring in front and coilovers in the back. The frame is a homebuilt 2X4 box tubing swap meet find. It needed a little work to be "right", but is deminsonally the same as a stock frame with a 6" step out back. Yeah, it's kinda hard for me to drive, but it's just right for him. Thanks guys.
Hey, you beat me to it!!! That's almost exactly the "Look" that I want for my 26. I'm going with a Buick V6 and want a little more kickup in the rear, but everything else pretty close the same. Can you tell me what width the front axle is - King Pin to King Pin? What kind of front brakes, wheels, tire sizes and what Radiator? Tom
That is a great little hot rod. I really like the Pinto motor in it with that big header coming off of it. Killer little ride.
The car is at the muffler shop today, but I can tell you it has 15X5 front wheels and around 15X7 rears. The front brakes are later model ford drums and the radiator is a walker.
Hey, I am the Geezer Matt built this Ride for. I want to say I am so glad I discovered Singley Speed Shop. Matt did an increadable job on my T and I am having a great time driving it. The T handles like a sports car and goes like a bat out of hell. I have a couple of other show winning, magazine cover hot rods.....This little rusty T gets more attention than either of the others. It is a kick in the *** to drive. If you need a hand with something on your rod you cant handle yourself, see Matt at Singley Speedshop, Loleta, CA. Danny
Ha ha, thanks Danny. I'm glad your driving the hell out of it. When is this one going to be a cover car?
