This years event is shaping up to be much bigger than last year with vendors, swap meet & live music. Mercury Charlie is sponsoring a special cl*** just for Kustoms and has hand made a beautiful trophy for the winner, makes me wish that I had a Kustom. Unlike other events we do allow coolers! (no beer vendor). The local motels are filling up quick but the Best Western in seguin still has some rooms available.
I forgot to mention, If you must bring your dog, children or wild woman, Keep them on a leash!! and don't forget your pooper-scooper!! But seriously the event is on a working airfield and which should be considered a dangerous enviroment!!
back to the top . I will have a area for the wild woman on leash`s ! at my base camp ! sound`s like a dangerous environment to me ?
Here's a picture of this years trophys I just finished making. Mercury Charlie is also hand making a beutiful trophy just for the Kustoms cl***.
I can hear you singing as you head down the road; "Three Wheels On My Hot Rod & I'm Still Rolling Along"
Man I envy you guys in Texas. It's already down in the 40's here in the Mid-Atlantic states. I'm trying to stay warm and you folks are heading to a Hot Rod Picnic. Have fun and stay safe.
Y'all take some good pictures, were stuck in D/FW due to weather. One day we really will make this show. :| I'm bummed, and I didn't get paint so ill have to do honey-doo this weekend. Looks like i'll be playing Crazy Casey on the lawn tractor! Vrooom, down the runway! (and back)
Here is video of Skotz racing Casey. Yeah but later on Skot "smoked" Casey, literally! Paul, thank you and the others responsible for putting this on, really had a good time. Also thanks to Skot and the others who brought out the vintage planes. Very cool mix, hot rods and vintage airplanes. Enjoyed getting to see the tools, parts and works in progress in the restoration shop. We think we have a hard time finding parts, they sometimes start out with an engine block and a gas tank!! First time there, definitely won't be the last! Very enjoyable way to spend a nice, relaxed fall day with a bunch of really friendly and cool people. Thanks again to everyone who had a part in putting on this show. Oh yeah, almost forgot! Was really nice Meeting Krazy Kate and seeing her really beautiful modified. Paul, all day everyone I saw kept asking if I had seen that beautiful car.
Mrs Crease, the little Creases and I all had a blast. What a great show!!!! Can't wait til next year when I can bring the family in the custom
That was a blast Paul ! and I think they are getting used to my coupe being out there with the planes ? it just feels weird to park with the car`s now ? I think I got airborne three times this year ? great show.
Skot's stearman aint much of the line... but when it gets going it'll turn your world upside down!!!!
Paul, Thanks to you and your club super event. I think the official score Skot wins one round, Casey wins one. Looking forward to next year for the shoot-out.
Just wait till next year.....even though I was the "first to the fence", ol Casey keeps saying that he won.....he just keeps on changing the rules.....hahahahaha. Yep, we will see what happens NEXT year ! Thanks Pol for setting this up and thanks Roger for letting us terrorize the airstrip and thanks Casey and Graham for helping promote the event And thanks Thunderbeast for keeping the camera going all the way to the fence and thanks to every one who came out.....what a cool set up. Skotzzz
