I saw another thread on one of these, and people seem to like em, so here's a little unit I call the "Tornado". It's a 64 chevy SWB fleet with a full custom boxed 2x6 frame, z'd both ends. The front suspension is square-body chevy with drop spindles, the rear is an Olds Toronado Transaxle from '69 with a 455 and TH425. It features front coils, rear coilovers, 4 wheel independent suspension, 4 wheel power disc brakes, rack and pinion power steering, etc etc. I bought it this way, and will be basically cleaning it up over winter and changing a few things around. The Q-jet is toast, so it won't wheelstand, but I have a BIG edelbrock for it that may just be what we need to put on a show, or at least get it running right.

  4. Cool . . . how do you rigidly mount the Toronado spindles so they don't turn?

The square headlights will be the first things to go once I get working on it. I have the buckets, trim rings, headlights, grille, etc. for it.

The back has upper and lower A-arms, coilovers and an adjustable tie rod on each side mounted to the spindle and the frame so it can no longer turn.
