New wheels and tries on my Chevy

I pushed my Chevy outside today to get a good look at my new tires and freshly painted wheels.

I was all exicted so I wanted to share.

 

...that's a mite nice Chevy ya got there.

Nice!!! You are 1 day ahead of me. My 8 year old and I did the 1st coat of stripper yesterday. One more coat and we will be ready to scuff and paint. Gonna try to get to it today.

Are you going to put beauty rings on them or leave them as is?

holy chit is that a nice lookin sled. that color is perfect, and them wheels and tires,nice.please dont clutter it up with caps, maybe just rings and bullet lug nuts. mike

The tires are 640-15 BFG's from Coker. I am thinking about a set of spider caps.

And, Ya I know it, tires not tries.

That looks GREAT!! Super clean, spider caps will look cool or just black the centers out and add some bullet lugs.

 

Looks good. Do you have dropped spindle on the front? 2 1/2"? Curious b/c thats very soon on mine

 

I had an extra set of springs for the front so I just cut them up till I was happy with the look. I have new shorter bumpstops to go on too. My plan was to try it like this first then if I'm not happy with the ride I'll have to fork out the cash for the dropped spindle (uprigths). I'm also looking in to using the uprights off a 53-54 to get it a little lower.

That car is finished!! The color is perfect...I do vote for the spider caps and maybe a beauty ring to pull some chrome down to the wheels ( or "tries!").......
