Pyro originally released it in 1967 as a 1941 Continental, with a multi-piece body and crude underpinnings. It was later re-released as a 1948. Linberg recently re-issued it.

I pieced the V-12 together from two V-8's, but may use a homemade 1953 Y-block.

I need a little help. I have been using Castrol Super Clean to strip paint, but I'm almost out. Since they took it off the market (at least here in Cali), is there another cleaner that works the same way? There is the look alike on the shelf, it just isn't from Castrol so I wasn't sure if it or Purple Power would do.

Easy-Off oven cleaner. The original formula in the yellow can. Works faster than any of that purple stuff. Nasty though, wear gloves and don't breath the fumes.

I used to use oven cleaner but it turned the plastic brittle. I'll try brake fluid next.

Brake fluid is usually what I use. Works good. Just make sure you wash it good when it comes out.

It all depends...... Testors in the red tube, Testors liquid in the bottle, Tenax liquid, testors white (for glass and lenses) & Super glue. Super glue will "frost" chrome so you have to be careful.

I use a little standard Testors for big stuff, Crazy glue type for small good fitting parts, Crazy glue gel type for others. Use Elmers for lenses and windows that fit too close because it dries clear when using a small amount, but with windows you have to be gentle handling it down the road cuz it isn't strong.

really wish i could get back into building them, i buit this one a few years ago but my boy who was almost two at the time got a hold of it, messed it up good. i have a few unpacked that suffered the same fate. i started giving them away so he wouldnt get to them, johnny cliche has my last one, a 36 ford i built early jalopy/dirt track style, i used to get all into it, using the aluminum piping for exhaust, sewing thread for plug wires, sandpaper on the tires, different paint textures for rust. i built a suede 49 merc with a flathead 12 years ago i still got my boy didnt get to thats kinda survived..
