this gauge goes on my 20 cadillac tank it looks like it has old gas tarnish on it. i want to clean it off i tried thinner, metal etch nothing works. the face is brass with black letters. any tricks to fix this ? heres a pic of the tank i brushed it with por 15 it looks sweet. thanks billy
Not sure,but jewelers that repair clocks,or hobby shops that sell model railroad stuff,use small ultrasonic baths,for delicate cleaning like that.It's a small container which holds water or mild cleaning solution,and uses sound waves(vibrations) to float away contaminents.
