I have almost finished most of my suspension work on my 29 ford sedan. I am running a small block sbc 3 duce setup with rodchester 2gc. I am not sure how to set up my fuel block and fuel lines rather it be on the fire wall or connected to the motor. could a few of you good folks send me some pics of completed motors at least setting on the frame and any suggestions would be more than helpful. Thanks for all the help from the newbie
It often was a function of where the fuel pump was located. If you are running a stock mechanical pump, most likely you had the fuel block or fuel log mounted on the engine like these. If you are running an electric pump, quite often the fuel block was mounted on the firewall. Back in the day the popular Hurst motor mount meant you had to run an electric pump. It was easy to screw the fuel block to the firewall and run flex hoses. It looks good. This old Fenton has the V notch mount for the hexagonal fuel log built right in. They made hexagonals with 3 ports too but they are pretty rare compared to the six hole unit. The 2 hole unit on the Stude engine above is the only one I ever remember seeing. I was tickled when I found it. It may have been home made. Only one Chevy application but I hope it gives you some ideas. If you really like the firewall location, use an electric pump. I did on my flatty.
try using search, might get ya alot more pics, but this is what i did. pretty simple. but i remember trying to make the same decisions when i did mine.
