The only thing I could think of is a stack of sockets on the sides and a big wrench on the top! I like it but who's got something better! You could go billit, Just kiding!

mmm the car the battery is in, is in no way traditional; unless you are into vintage Jap ****.

Battery is an Optima Red Top. I dont want a billet gizmo or a parts store 5.00 vinyl dipped POS.

    Define "vintage Jap ****"
Old Nissan Fairlady? Honda 600? Datsun pickup? Some of that old Japanese stuff was really cool, at least to me.
Had a 73 Datsun pickup, that was a fun truck! Sold a Honda 600 I restored this summer. Paid for my 32 frame :)

I too have an optima red top that I'm looking for a nice sloution for a hold down. Mine is going in my trunk. I don't really care for the plastic boxes or the billet jazz.

1/8" x 2" steel strap, two long 3/8" dia. bolts, not much to it. Nice and industrial looking, holds it in. If you don't like the look of the modern battery, get a generic black $30 battery at wal mart and peel off the labels.

Check the battery hold downs at your local sand buggy shop. Real nice, clean, raw non-billit.

I've been using a belt. Not a fan belt... a pants belt. Hundreds of styles to match your car, totally adjustable, and maybe you could put a big honkin' buckle on there!
