Folks, I'm helping a buddy of mine put a rough '41 Ford pickup onto an S-10 ch***is and set it up with a straight axle to get the g***er look. Lets see some of your favorite early 40s Ford trucks! G***er look preffered, but any will do. This one will be traditional, small block, fenderwell headers, straight axle, tunnel ram, narrowed rear axle (already there - have to start with it). This '41 had been outside for 40 years - you can guess what the patina looks like. We are not going to paint it at first. Looking for some 40 ford headlight rings with some patina - you know, the ones you hung up cause they were too rough to fix? those are the ones we need. pm me if you have any. Any advice on the S-10 ch***is adaptation is also welcome. We are not beyond new straight front rails from the torque boxes forward. Aim'n for Billetproof Michigan '08 - atleast a roller. THANKS !!
Here is one of my favorites. Has to be one of the perfect flame jobs ever on a 40 ford....... Monkey's pick up
Yup, The one we are working is about like this with a little more perforation than this one... Great stuff !! Thanks !! (arkiehotrods - rusty 40 with the cool travel trailer)
Who's black truck is that? I would like to know more about it.It is done about as right as it can get!!!
Jcruz - DIG that chop on the So Cal truck !! We might need to chop this thing to get it out of the garage. would a Chopped high G***er '41 truck look ok?
www.carnut.com has 375 pics of '40 and '41 Ford pickups. Some are stock, some are "street rods" and quite a few are HAMBworthy. Check it out.
