Yeah, I got the Chevy. Not much left, and it's all crumpled, but I hope to learn metalwork on it. Got any extra parts sitting around? What were you needing? I wasn't planning on using the grill or headlights and stand if you need that. We left the chassis.

Unfortunately there is a lot that is going to the scrapper. I know we left behind peices of T roadtser quarters, roadster doors, fenders, hoods and other parts just too far gone to take. And trust me if we didn't take it it was pretty bad.

I just wanted to thank Clark,Aaron,Johnny Sparkle,Mark,Jimmy,Dave and Ed and his wife for the huge amount of help they gave me on this trip. Without they're help it would have taken me months to remove this stuff. Here are a couple pics and I'll try to get more up later.

Somebody asked about the center door T? I bought it, $800 and it came with a touring parts car, swaybacked bad but some nice parts.
I still haven't dug them out - %$@! auctioneer won't return calls and lost the title to my '29 rpu that I got too! Oh well, hopefully the cars are stilll there. Just finished unloading the trailer tonight...No space left!
I'm also the guy that got the 32 Cabriolet from under the barn - Fatabone, was that you I was talking to?
Looks like you got home ok?!

BTW, ryan77, The Muntz was pretty bad. Deep in the dirt and rusty, but had a beautiful split windshield and what I though was a SW Hollywood dash in it. Had a Ford Y block under the rusty louvered hood. Whoever got it did ok, but I doubt it will see the road again.

Thanks for the reply...several of us were wondering what it brought. Do hope you can do something with it. If you need any help getting the rest of your stuff out, let me know. I'm only about an hour and a half away from Mitchell.

Thanks for the offer of help, but I think its under control. I've got my dually back on the road now and I can haul the enclosed trailer, which will cover both the T's and the rest of the parts. Might go back this weekend if it stops raining.
I'm going to try to go original with the center door. I've never had a running T yet.
Are you guys pretty happy with what you brought back? I wish I'd bought more, but I kinda went into a daze after getting the 32.
Did anybody get that model A cowl with the air compressor motor and tank?

I've developed a pretty thick skin against commie attacks and slander. They can call me anything they want but late paying the mortgage. Actually the $2,000 figure spoken of earlier was inacurate (not that it matters.

On an unrelated note, I was recently outraged to find the groceries on offer st the local supermarket were being marked up and sold for a profit. I being a gardener went down there and gave the manager a hard time:D

Archangel...Jr got the compressor and sold the motor. I woulda done the same. It wasn't til afterwards that we realized just about anything for the 4 bangers is collectable. He got it with the pile of roadster quarters and doors and other stuff.

Yeah, that looked like a Gordon Smith air compressor. I have a few heads, etc, but not a complete one. It was really common to cut down a chassis and cowl like that, in fact I have a 50's factory instruction book that shows how to do it. I'd tow it behind the rpu if I ever finish it, haha...

I think i talked to you PA boys. I was the one that was a pizza delivery boy when i was talking to one of you. The rest of you i chatted with up by the bus. You guys got some good deals. If i had more skills i would have bid higher. You guys are bragging about how its all replaceable but we arent all able to do all that work. I am learning and do small patches but that stff was past my skill. Good score for you guys. If i knew you were hambers maybe we could of chatted more.

10 months later, where are these cars now? Anybody get started on their builds from this stuff? Or has it all been turned into beer cans.

Most of the stuff was on e-bay a week later and sold for double what it brought at the auction.

I still have all of the stuff I bought though because I am a hoarder. The 32 Vicky is next on my to-do list. I just need some cabbage first.

If nothing else the auction was a blast. Stashes like that are few and far between.

  22. the blue 29 pheaton is almost done
and another roadster cowl section has been turned into an ar roadster
and alot of the stuff has been sold on the bay

Kewl, wow only 3 posts/ I saw alot more people there than posts. I know the caddy camper went to a locale junk yard. Kinda wish I had bought it now, been to Florida a few times over x-mas break ridin in the back of that thing with the folks when I was a kid. Frikin load with thrush muffs dumping in front of the rear wheels. Was fun though, gotta pic somewhere with it sitting on Dayton beach. Aawwww the memories.
