^^^ That's too funny Neal! I get the same **** in my Chrysler!^^^ A few of my car buddies from high school are into newer cars and get a huge laugh out of the different demographics our cars reach... I get thumbs-up from all the homeless ladies, winos, old black dudes, cholos... they get the same from hot chicks, bus loads of kids, white dudes wearing ties... "Gee, that EVO looks SWELL!" Ha,ha! I love MY public!
Seems like all of my other 50's cars were '57 Chevies. Now I have a '57 and everyone asks me, Fifty-six? I've gotten "Where's Bonnie?" in my '40 Chrysler already. Way wrong, but still amusing.
Actually, John drove a Chevrolet...at least once. There is a guy local here that has a 29(?) Chevy coupe that is claimed to have once been driven by Dillinger. The guy had all kinds of papers and pictures that claims to substantiate it.
I'm just starting on my first old truck. Been in the mini-truck scene for about 16yrs. I went an hour south of Albany, Ny to pick up my 52 GMC. I had it on a u-haul trailer for the 5hr ride home. The beat-up rusty old truck got more thumbs up on the 5hr ride home than my 97 that's channeled, and airbagged on big billets ever has...
Man, i thought the min truck scene was the dark side....guess i better go find my darth vader helmet.
