    Hi there

I purchased a 1950 Ford F1, its almost complete except for the engine and transmission :D . It does have most of the original parts, windows, wipers and even the oak bed boards. I am going to be taking it apart and sand blasting it over the next few months and fixing up the rust holes befre sending it to get sprayed.

I do need quite a bit of help from anywhere I can get it. I got the catalogue from LMC and most of the parts I can think of are in there. But the two main parts I need some help with, these being the engine and entire transmission. I would like to stick to the original engine and transmission as closely as possibe, however at the same time I would also like to make it somewhat of a hotrod. Does anyone have any suggestions, also, does anyonw know where one can buy engines from and transmissions.

    Thanks
    Joel

Buy a donor 70s/80s car with a Ford small block, then get a Bronco sump for oil pickup clearance.:D

I've got a '49-'52 truck manual at home. If you have any questions PM me and I can look stuff up.
The original engine would be an 8RT flathead, 239cid (around 100hp)
Is the truck set up for floor or column shift?

Score a '50 Merc Flathead and build from there.

My buddy is doing a '51 F~1 with a built flatty should be very cool, He just finished a HOT '46 Ford with Merc crank for his roadster that runs real strong.
