    thanks guys.....yeah thats all! :D

its been kind of at a stand still since Hershey
been working on a few other things and doing alot of "thinking"
the center of the nose is hammered out but the side buldges need to be made to tie the hood sides and belly pan all together
I'm slightly overwhelmed trying to decide on the actual location of the nose...i keep moving it little bits at a time and trying to imagine how it would look, more angled, less angled, up, down, front, back, etc....
its at the point where everything ties into everything else....so its going to be really slow untill BOOM...it all falls together
I'll do another update on here once i get the aluminum work farther along
for now....this is all there is!

    thanks alot
    Zach

heres one more shot....just with s**** metal clamped on trying to decide on things....theres alot of compound shapes in those little bumps on the sides!!:(

What Hop Up? Did I miss something.

You know how I feel about your roadster Zach...

Maybe it needs a Inline 6 with some type of aftermarket conversion to power it? ;)

  9. Can I hate him too?:D

Not only is the car awesome, the builder is alright.

Good luck with it, Zach. I'm sure it is going to be awesome when done. Seeing your cars at Hershey kicked me in the pants a little and lit my fire to get going on my rig.

    Hope to see you soon.

    thanks everyone

yes, this is the tube frame car that i have been doing posts about
and yes, it is a belly pan...just some s**** metal made on there now to try to figure proportions
i have something up my sleeve for the actual belly pan though...if it'll work out????

    megan,
I've got room for a 6 and I'd consider going to brand X if your offering????? :D
and its on www.hopupmag.com in the hopupland section

banjorear...get that ****er done for May!

  13. art, freaking art.

  14. i like this nose. i feel your pain, getting that little bit of harmony comes from a **** load of indigestion.

  15. you are capturing it more and more.....THAT look. Freakin' art is right! I would even go so far as to take a styling cue from that verticle edge of the grille shell buck. (sometimes ya find the best inspirations in the crudest forms.) In my opinion, it needs that center verticle line in the middle of the grille, and maybe the rest of the grill bars verticle too (?) gonna be a killer car! Very nice interpretation and execution.

    thanks guys!
the grill bars will be vertical...all of them
the edge around them is something thats going to take a bit of work...
the funny thing about the wooden buck is...i made it after the nose!
i needed some way to clamp it in place and with no frame sticking out and no bottom edge on the nose....i had to make a wooden form just to hold it in place!
i just hammered the nose out by hand..and now that i've been adjusting the location...it doesnt even fit the wood anymore!

i think i may have found a good location for the nose last night...gona try to make a more permanent mount for it this evening
it really needed to know where its going to live so that i can progress to the rest of it!

    work work work! :)
