Ian - I really love these flying eyes that you have been making lately. I bought one of the first series that you made... really top stuff!

Somebody needs to build one like this! It would be great with one of those ragtop 2CVs, too.

great show this week fellas. pollack, love the new piece. jan, way cool as usual. the meth, nice job. jigger, super sweet. this week jigger and i collaborated on a piece. he sent over this whacky design of this super cool van, and i rendered it on black. the only thing i changed were the wheels. i loved the slots, but this thing just kept screaming 5 spokes to me. anyhow, happy thanksgiving.

    jiggers sketch......

  12. Now that the cat's out of the bag and Zombie has posted his version of what I call the McLaren MiniMax, here's my quick color rendering take I've done. I was originally thinking about using Mags and the color I had in mind was a Metallic gold so Zombie, without knowing, really nailed it hard.
That was the plan, I've marveled at how he and I ride the same wave lenghth, artistically and had to see how he'd respond to the challenge I put forth to him.
So here is the McLaren MiniMax and, yeah, we though Hot Wheel too...

  15. I'm in a sharing, caring mood so here's a couple progress images of the Hand '71 LeMans Dragin' Wag'n!

First is the pencil and ink work; enhanced digitally for clarity:

Next is the beginnings if step 2; adding the first layer of color pencil (using prisma color.) This step scares me every time as it will make or break the whole project. (this is why photoshop and, I assume, illustrator are such nice tools.):

More to come at a later date....

And what started it all. This is the first piece I had done in vector since I had been out of college and I loved how it looked. Then I just run with it.

I couldn't fit it on the scanner so I had to take a pic and photoshop it. Its gonna be a new shirt design figured I'd be crazy and do it on a red shirt. What y'all think Did you notice that I meant for the body to be the eight in the V8 emplem deal?

    Good idea Dave.

    A little history -

This car, called 'Henry Hirise', was built in the UK in the late 70s and was something of a milestone car at the time. It is still a car that appears in many UK rodders top 10s.

I painted it recently and couldn't decide whether to include lettering or not so I posted it on the UK NSRA forum and asked for opinions.

    Without lettering...

    ...and with..

    So what do you think?

Oh yeah and I am selling a limited edition of 25 prints in A3 size ($60 + p&p). You can choose whether you want your print with or without lettering. (Dave, number 2 is set aside for you - without lettering!)
