Anyone with kids who know about Winnie the Pooh have heard that song and it sticks in yer head like cold porridge! Anyway, I am now a Tigger!...Just bought a Miller synchrowave 200 last night. I'm stoked! I wanted to hook it up last night but need a little wiring upgrade to do it. I've got a 40 amp breaker that I run my Mig off of but this Tig says I need a 60 amp... does that sound right?...I was hoping to just put a plug on the cable so I can wheel it around the shop...What do you guys do?
I seem to recall that "the wonderful thing about tiggers is that I'm the only one" was how it went...
so your head is made out of rubber and your tail is a spring? You would only need the 60 amp to crank it up to 200 AMPS. Try it with the 40 Amp it will probably be fine. may pop the breaker the odd tiome on thick stuff.
Hey, let me know how you like it and what you don't like about it. I'm thinking about getting the same welder (just posted about before I read this) and like to know if you find any serious shortfall with it.
Jethro I think you've just come up with a new word Tigger: person who welds using arc fusion and inert gas Adj; to tig,Tiggers: single or group who weld.pop: fluffy character in childrens novel...
