been wanting to lower the back of my galaxie for quite some time now and this weekend would be a good time to do it, im headed to the local auto parts store in a little while and i know they carry blocks, but are they all the same? any recomendations?
They should be all the same. The kit is just Blocks, U-Bolts, and hardware, just be sure to measure your u-bolts center to center, and measure your springs width to be sure that everything will fit. It should be a pretty simple procedure. Good luck!
Best bet for all sizes on lowering blocks ............ http://www.speedwaymotors.com/p/335...ring-Blocks.html?itemNo=lowering%20blocks
Width of the block needs to be the same as your spring plate.Alot of the blocks are wider than stock spring plates.you may need to make or buy wider spring plates
also for every 2 inches you drop, a pinion alighnment shim should be put in place. higher quality blocks are designed with the angle built in. if you do so much as a 4 inch drop, the angle of the pinion change is very appearent
