Very complete car minus motor/tranny and glass. Everything else is there and in really good shape. Fenders are rough, but there. Very little rust. How much should I offer? I would have no plans to restore it, just resale it. What does a typical barn fresh '32 ford sedan with a nice pigeon-poop paint job go for these days? It really is a straight car. Any help?

Well, that don't help worth a shit.... (jk)

It's not that I wouldn't appreciate the car. I wish I had the $$ to restore it. I can either buy it, or not. If I can buy it right and make a buck, why not? Or maybe I'll pass and let the farmers 15 year old cut the hell out of it to make it a "rat rod". I'm sure he would appreciate it more than I.

10 out of 10 for your honesty.

have you aked how much they want for it?

Perhaps do a search or adavanced search on "how much" there are LOTS of ways to do this, that is buying it and this has been discussed at length before. As for selling, put it on eBay if your only motivation is profit, otherwise add a percentage and offer it here to the members. You will cop lots of crap about wanting to flip this but if the seller is happy with what he sells it to you for and the buyer who buys its off you is happy with what he pays for it - it's cool. At the end of the day its another car that is out of a shed and into someone's place that may build it.

  6. Buy it for yourself and slowly restore it or make a traditional rod out of it...fenderless and highboy.

The biggest spend is getting the car to start with.

I would say...what are waiting for?

To be honest though, what would you expect for a response in a post like this

I would be happy to put it on here before I Ebay it for sure. As of now, the owner is unsure what they want for it. He mentioned he's had offers of $11k, and turned them down. That said, he didn't want to sell it until now. Seems steep to me, then again, it's an all steel, unmolested '32. I'm not a early Ford buff, so all I can go off to gauge price is Ebay and the HAMB members. I was planning to offer $6500 and go from there. I think that's reasonable. If I can buy it right, I'll HAMB it before I put it anywhere else. Am I way off base at $6500?

If he has had offers of $11K you might struggle to get him to let it go at 60% of that price. Good luck. Where's the photos????

  13. sounds like its worth 11k to me because that is the asking price. you better think hard about investing in the serious coin the owner wants for it.the last car i got burned on was a 36' chevy for $115, didn't have a clue about fisher bodies because i had mopars and they weren't full of wood. i hardly think anyone would let their kid chop up a 32' ford that they thought was worth 11k. oh by the way thats my uncle's car and it's worth 15k, better buy it quick

There's a minimum expectation of car-guyness or car-girlness here on the HAMB. If you're trying to flip a once-in-a-lifetime priced steel 2 door deuce, not sure you're meeting that expectation. Even a chevy or dodge person would recognize A Steel 2 Door Deuce!! as worth squirreling away for future use.

Profit is good. Asking enthusiasts about the profiteer angle on vintage tin isn't.

If the DEUCE is in the condition you say ... the 32 is worth the 11 grand ... and then some. Nothing wrong with making money $$$ ... ;)

If getting every last dollar profit is your goal ... then eBay it. Buy it as low as you can ( I would offer 10 grand ) and then wash it up and detail it a little and put it on eBay. You should make ( IMHO ) 3 or 4 grand fairly easy.

As for the folks who condemn you for eBaying it ...
You are being up front about this so ... screw them.

IMHO ... anyone who pays 14 - 15 grand for a 32 Ford Tudor ... has the right to do with it as he sees fit

I do not know your financial status ... BUT I suggest keeping the Deuce Tudor ... They make really cool cars. But then of course I am prejusticed.

...did anyone notice the nice '32 BARE frame that just sold on the bay for $3640?

I'd offer him more $$$ than anyone else has. You'll get it. Then flip it. Win/Win situation.

  24. So Big Mac is a jackass for wanting to flip a Deuce Tudor rather than passing on it so someone who will keep it can buy it?

I swear some of you guys have your heads so far up your ass I'm surprised you can find your way to the keyboard everyday. You'll probably all be voting for Hillary too.... but that's beside the point.

Big Mac, I bet 10K will buy it & I agree with Deuce Roadster, it should go 12-14K if it is in good condition. I'd buy it, flip it, & post my results here - just to spite these dumbasses.

Principal my ass. I've been at this (car hobby) for a long time, and I can't believe how some of the fake fonzies on here have demonized capitalism. You'd better get every dollar you can because dollars are worth less and less every day. Did you know the Canadian dollar is now worth more than ours? This is no time for acting cool.

I'll quote my favorite Houston rapper Willie D of the Ghetto Boys. He generally has sound financial advice.

-Fuck that ego shit, cuz when times get drastic, you can't take your ego to the bank and cash it-

-Fuck a Playstation. My bills don't vacation-

    - Get your money, clean it up, and get the fuck on fool-

    I hope this has helped.

I say it's worth $13K. Be sure to check that the pigeon shit hasn't completely destroyed it before buying it. That stuff is nasty.

Tell him you'll give $11 for it and you get $2-$5K depending on how well you can pimp it.

PS: I buy stuff and resell it all the time, just not to those guys (except when they don't realize it and then they run around talking about what a cool score they got before quietly reselling it to their freinds for a profit later - Bullshitters every one of them.)

Maybe he's like a lot of other rodders, and doesn't want a deuce (I know some of you guys can't conceive of that)! So what's wrong with him taking it out of the barn and making it available to those who just have to have a deuce? Every time someone pays an inflated price for a deuce, you deuce owners stock goes up, so you oughta be happy about it, and the inflated prices help keep your club more exclusive. I don't blame him for wanting to make a profit on it, then he might have some $ to build something he wants.

Some of the FNG's on this site lately are completely retarded.

To the OP, make an offer. The worst case? He says no. Best? He says ok and you've got a car that you can make a buck at.

Don't listen to these dill holes man.... profit is profit, and unless they are living in a hut, not consuming anything with no finances every month, they are BS talking hypocrites.

SUPPLY AND DEMAND IS THE WAY THE WORLD WORKS. IF YOU CAN GET THE SUPPLY FOR A PRICE WELL UNDER WHAT THE DEMAND IS WORTH YOU WIN.

    Go for it.
