Ok folks I need your help here! I'm trying to fins a picture of a garage door the has been painted to look open with a hot rod setting inside with maybe a checkeredboard floor.
As most of you know we do custom paint work on motorcycles. We are going to try and break into the interior paint business. I thought I could start with my own garage door.
Many thanks in advance to any help on finding a picture to give me some ideas. Also anything cool in a garage on the wall will work. As we do some stuff I will post pics for yall.

If you guys can't find anything then maybe one of yall could open your garage door and back your hot rod in and take a few photos.
    Thanks

Dang, Bob K. If my garage looked like that, I might be able to put a car in it...

First off let me set this straight.

I DID NOT PAINT THAT DOOR.

It is way out of my area of expertise (I'm still trying to find out exactly what that area is).

A good bud who is a retired Art Teacher in Door County Wisconsin did that for me as well as the 2 doors on the garage attached just to the east of this one.

He put the Raynor door on an easel on a large dolly and painted it over a 3 month peripod back in 1994.

He used DEKA sign enamel which is a water based product. He says he used some one shot also but it set up too fast.

The thing I love about it is that he painted it so that if you stand at the end of the driveway it looks like the door is actually open. There is a ton of detail in the door.

There are a bunch more pictures here if anyone is interested.

Thanks for the compliments, I'll p*** them along to Arvid Anderson.
