i know its missin the ends , but there kinda hard to lay your hands on , down under ..
its advanced since then , it now has indicators (trafficators )
59 caddy in front , and i made the vette lamps in rear flash too .
i,ve put the old front grill on the rear along with a couple of overiders on the rear bar . it has an inhibitor switch on the tranny , and even a tranny cooler ,still more to come . i just gotta remember to take me camera to work to get sum pics .. will do soon ..
waiting for fugness to come home and drive it , so i can drink beer . and get chased around by women ...

I ,YES I painted the steering wheel and dash surround in candy tangerine .
looks o.k. better than i fort , i put some candy over the silver ,under the green on the roof , and lookout . it works ,,,
again craiger was right .... (damm) even though i had my doubts to start off with ...
you watch them chase me with a tangerine , fishscaled roof !!!!

 

I believe the REAL Space Herpie had scales also...so it's all good!!

I think flaking and scales on a car with no definitive roof line is awkward to say the least. I think it'll look like you've tried to marry two totally different periods in history together and it's not working. Watson used 55 and later cars because they had nice big FLAT roofs, compared to the bubbly Herpie.

The way I see it, when you remove trim, chop the top so it flows better with the body and go thru ALL this trouble just to make it as smooth as glass...............then WHY would you chop it up with color and pattern?

You've lost the smooth look for this mismatched, choppy, sloppy look and it's all because of color and pattern choice? I think such garish additions will only distract from the over all car and if I'm not mistaken *which I rarely am*, that's what you wanted to promote in the first place.

If you want something to flake, lace, scallop,scale or make a color and pattern statement with.................then get something with a flatter roof line.

Otherwise, leave the color on the Herpie solid and subtle and let the body changes speak for themselves.

Could you imagine a two tone paint job and scales on this? Maybe stock, but the body has been altered to FLOW..........

 

ummm i dont care for the grill. it looks to busy to me. and adding the old grill to the back will make it look like a lowrider instead of a custom. im not going to say much more till i see pics but i wouldnt of done it that way.....
