Thanksgiving in LA

We're flying to LA for Thanksgiving, have two car related visits set up, what else is going on?

 

I always had Thanksgiving dinner at the Proud Bird when I was out that way.

 

I think the lowrider exhibit is still at the Petersen.

The Barris exhibit at the NHRA museum see the Sam Barris car and the Hirohata.

 

Thanks! Last one I went to was in 1975, the Long Beach Model T Ford Club one, back when Winfields cost $25.00.

 

Irwindale Speedway runs the Turkey Night Cl***ic, Thanksgiving Night.They run several divisions of sprint cars.Victorville Speedway also runs a good dirt track program that runs all weekend starting Friday featuring several stock car divisions.

 

This is a few days late (sorry) but every year they run the Walt James Cl***ic on the 3/8's dirt at Willow springs. It's a 2 day deal (Sat. and Sun.). You see everything from ol' Jalopy's/ Hardtops, restored Midgets and Sprints/ Roadsters to modern day stuff. Lot's of early day heros are there still racin' GREAT FUN!!
