the guy wasnt to bad but would hate to be ther eafter dark dogs hidden in all kinds of places. about 20 more pics tomorrow
that's not too far from my place. does he still talk to you alot and charge a " one dollar scenery fee"? he charged me last couple times, but that was about 2 years ago. you're right about the big trucks, lots of reo's and diamond t's. there was a couple of nice 37-38 ford truck grilles last time. nice to see someone else knows about that creepy old place too.
loves to chat it up .2 dollar charge now a days but its a very clean yard and well kept no heavy brush or thorn bushes i give him credit for keepin up with it . saw some nice truck grill s like ya said. lots of good parts left up there .
the dump truck is awsome, seeing those pictures makes me feel cold for some reason. glad i live in the desert, sheet metals pretty good here
accessory hood ornament on the 47 chev fastback panels fit nice on the 56 chebby hardtop cant figure out why this one is rusting out
I've never been to that yard but we're not very far away---same climate. Most of the old stuff that's still sitting out around here have panels that are paper thin like the bottom of that '59 Plymouth door.
Where is this place? Don't recall seeing it before. I live in Hubbard, just north and east of youngstown. Might have to pay a visit before the weather starts to ****...
if ya go up there again snag me those Buick headlight rims off that old Ford would ya?? i want em for my 47 Chevy project.
I have been there in 2003 and it was like meeting the Adams family. After paying a 2 dollar fee we could look around. When looking, gunfire sounded nearby what meet the visit 'more' fun. At that moment we were the first Dutch guys to visit the place and the second Europeans after some Sweeds. Condition of most of the cars was s****, but nice for pictures.
HAHA..Been there several times. Does he still have the 3-legged dog leading the tours? I did a post on here 3 or so years ago with alot of pics from there. Glad to see it's just the same. Do not go in the spring or you'll get eaten alive. We forgot bug spray, and....well, it was a long 2 hours of walking.....
old wrecker rare packard 2 door carribean on the right those packard quarters everyone wants just a little rusty well that is the end of my pics .hope everyones enjoys them .
The three legged dog is gone, he was there the first time I went but appears to no longer be around. Which is not surprising considering the first time I went it got in a fight with about 4 other pit bulls while I was pulling parts off of a car 10 feet away. I ran to get the owner who then ran at the dogs shooting his gun and screaming at them. The garbage truck was really neat which is why we had flop take that picture. The yard is near newton falls off some side road I cant think of the name of.
What is the name of that yard? Newton falls is about 30 mins or so from me. I like to get out there before winter sets in. It looks like that place will be under water in the spring. I have heard of place, but everybody who tells me about it,Is not sure where it is.
LOL did he warn ya about the dogs in the house? cool place but it would have been a lot cooler 30 years ago when **** was still good.
It's called S&S or something similar. I can't exactly remember either, and I live 30mins. away too. The last time I was there, a guy pulled in and unloaded about 200 loaves of stale bread from a local bakery. They just tear open the plastic and dump the bread on the ground to feed all the dogs I didn't know whether to be mad, or happy that, at least, the dogs were fed. And you're right. 30yrs. ago, there would've been some good stuff. Now, anything from your knee's down is gone. It's still fun to walk around and see all the stuff. You guys see all the doodle-bugs? There had to be 10-12 all lined up in one aisle.
i only seen about 2 doodle bugs i wondered why the one car was full of bread bags!!!! i think its s and w or sumthing along those lines
