I want to tell you a little story about a regular Tuesday night in the southern part of Sweden, just a couple of miles north of Malmo. This event is not advertised; just word to mouth, but it brings out around 500 cars, maybe 1500 motorcycles and airplanes!! and up to 8000 spectators on a regular Tuesday. It started a few years back and just recently moved to a bigger location. Ive been there just a few times but Im amazed by the size of it and the friendly atmosphere, no drunks or screaming idiots, and best of all, no style police trying to divide cars into special areas of this style or that. They just park where theres room and fold their chairs and drink their coffee. The area is divided into four major fields, with separate parking for European cars, American cars, newer bikes and old bikes, thats it. As I understand the event is organized by an ***ociation trying to raise money for building a permanent Viking village. Now enjoy.
The last few. Got some more but can't resize.. Oh I miss the summer. The little one in front of the camera is my step daugther Emma.
Thanks for posting. Those are impressive numbers for a "regular Tuesday night". Good luck resizing pictures so you can post more.
Magnus, the camera id working fine, thnks for posting. I follow the European VW shows and love the non-organized style of your shows. Car people just hanging out enjoying cars.
Do you really wanna know? It's about double the U.S price. Right know the dollar to Swedish ratio is fantastic in our wallets, but for you guys it will be like 2 dollars per litre, and that will be in the neighbourhood of 4.50 per gallon. That ****s alot because ,when your low on dough, you just can't go. I enjoyed everytime we filled the BelAir doing our Rt 66 trip earlier this year. Thank's Magnus
went to Gotenburg in the late 90s. if i ever went back (good friends still live there) i'd like to check out the car scene. i remember seeing a guy with a MachI in the city and commenting on how difficult it must be to run/drive it with petrol prices at that time...my host quickly informed me that the gentlemen was some swedish football star and the car was certainly a symbol of status. beautiful day for a november in sweden. i dont remember the sun ever being that bright! hejdo!
