Caravan To The Salt!

The HAMB Drags/Speed Week thread made me think about this.

We're pulling Boy Wonder out of school for Speedweek again. This year we pulled out of Atlanta at 3pm on Sunday, and pulled into Salt Lake City at 6pm Tuesday, stopping at a couple junk yards along the way, and some antique malls.

If I have this right, tech is on Monday, racing starts Tuesday. If we leave Friday afternoon, that gives us 3 and a half days to get there.

Who wants to hook up for a caravan on the way out? We went the Northern Route this year...don't know if we'll go that way again, but there's a quarter panel for my Suburban in Denver I wouldn't mind taking home with me.

So who's in?

racing starts on monday so tech will be on sunday, and saturday I think.... reguardless get there early theres gonna be a billion people there....

Hey if anybody has trailer space there's a model a coupe body in Denver my buddy needs brought back.

 

I will be leaving Friday at 4pm from the Metro Detroit area with I believe Megan. I think she will be in her '32 roadster, I will be in Big Olds. We're going to make a beeline there this year, no lollygagging, I80 all the way across. Southern route on the way from the Salt to the HAMB Drags. Anyone is more then welcome to join us if you can keep up.

 

Hey bro let me know your route and I will meet up with ya. Wait a minute I live in Atlanta where Brad lives, but going to Utah to meet a Canadian. Damn we gotta figure this thing out!!!! I wish I had a car to drive!!!!!!

 

I have friends building a car to run in the revived roadster 4cyl cl***. I plan on being there the whole week. Coming from Montana, I'm not in anyones direct path. See you on the salt.
