    It looks aquatic!

  7. Wasn't that a Marmon something or another? I have a newspaper article somewhere from a Utah meseum that has or had it.
It was from around the same timeframe of the Pierce Arrow that the Cabbage Heads rebuilt at Hot Springs Village.
I thinkthe car was painted red and orange.

  8. Looks like the Predator from that Arny movie.

The Meteor as I recall... Set early land speed records... I just don't remember the details... It looks even "better" from the side!

That car set records on the salt that still stand today!
And if it wasn't for Ab Jenkins (builder/driver) Bonneville would not be Mecca for hot rodders.
    All hail the Mormon Meteor!!!!!!!

And as Art Arfons once said, "The faster it goes, the better looking it gets".

  13. I didn't know if the Marmon Wasp, 1911, and later had the same lineage. On the other hand, Marmon was producing trucks, possibly cars, in that era.
Arkieneighbor, I'm sure you're correct on the name.

  14. Dang some of the strongest salt heritage and no one knows what it is!! C'mon guys!

  24. Does anybody know how many large cars Ab Jenkins built for LSR or endurance record attempts? Previous to this, I only knew of the Pierce 12 Special. Hagerty Insurance used an old photo on one of their "postcards."
    Neat photos! Thanks!
