Does anyone have any pictures of 289 engine mounts they have made? I have made a couple for my car and I don't like how they are coming out. I need some ideas, I am putting them in my 27 modified so if anybody is running one I would love to see some images. I can get some from speedway...........actually ordered one set from them but they mount on the front of the block and if I didn't have an oil filter or a fuel pump they would work great. Scott Thanks in advance..
i used a set of ch***is engineering from iowa. they are a biscuit and mt to the frame, then to the stock place on the block.
use a universal mount from cpp they are under $100 bucks. i have one in my 55' ford truck with 302. simple
Look up 289 mounts in EBAY and see what comes up, there are the front mounts like Speedway sells which are copies of old Hurst mounts and some that mount off the mid mount site on the block.
Here's a pic if you can see??? They are simply a set of 70's truck mounts, a 1/4 plate with a elongated hole (simular to the stock mount in the truck frame), and 2 pieces of 1" square 3/16" wall tubing. Bolt the plate on the motor, get the motor exactly where you want it and cut tubing to fit. I put the square tube on a 45deg from the frame. Total cost $25.00
