1x6"s go a long way in getting a low car up to a decent height to transport them or get a jack under them.

Got wood? Thats what I had to do to get my car on a hauler. I threw it in the car for the driver to unload at the port. Good luck

    Is it non drivable?
What kind of var is it?
If it's drivable pay a flat fee and expenses and have someone drive it and fly 'em back.

jack it up by the frame, jam studs into the coils , place a 4x4 on end between the rear and frame

  7. it is a 63 tbird, i bought from loney king, i think it has 2'' lowering blocks and the shackles are hanging it up. it runs

the boards might be a good alternative if all else fails

    thanks

Some tow companies have flatdecks with a movable "beaver tail",that hinges the last 6 or 8 feet of the deck.Makes it possible to load very low cars and forklifts. Call around, ask exotic car dealers.;)

  9. im sure it could be got , your hauler just didnt try hard enough , bet they even charged you for nothing .. i agree with all the above a couple of boards surely would have done the trick.

I got one here on fedex transport, the back of their trucks are liftgates and can get pretty low cars on the deck.

A possibility...your haul was "brokered" to an independant, he decided he didn't really want the job (maybe not enough money, too far out of the way from next stop, whatever) so he uses B.S. excuse to refuse the job. The broker doesn't care, they're keeping the deposit, which was their cut, anyway. Anybody that hauls cars for a living would know how to get that car loaded up.

I agree with the studs into the coils. What a lazy ass. I picked mine up off a gravel bed, lowered all around so you couldn't even see under it. Then we had to lift it over the trailer lights because the lakesides got hung up.

If you want it bad enough, you'll figure it out. That tow guy obviously didn't want the job.

When I bought my '61 LeSabre from Big Jeff on here, it had 1" of clearance from front crossmember to the ground. I had the hauling company send out a hauler that was just for really low vehicles at no extra charge. Then Jeff had the guy meet him at a place that had a dip in the road to load it and when it got here I had already found a place that was like that wi the dip, and we unloaded it with no problemo.

Sounds like someone is looking for an excuse to not ship a car.
