Aww Rock...my bubble has just been busted...here I thot you were one of the guys that didn't want what everyone else had...and I've only known you to have/drive odd stuff...and now you're following the crowd... But I guess it's OK...if that's what you want ...and you can still be my friend...as long as you don't paint the damned thing flat black with red wheels... R-
Roger....paint is a looooooooooong ways off but it may very well sport a JOhn Deere black job for awhile. I want to eventually get this'n in real paint someday. And yes, I;ve always admired 34 ford coupes just like everone else. Never thought I'd be able to get one because it's the coupe a lot of guys like......enough to drive the price of them straight thru the ceiling. BTW, what's the number 1 car on your list of hotrods to own? If it's a 40 Stude coupe, or a chopped 57 chevy hardtop congrats to ya. If not, why settle for less? Go get what you want now because we're only here for a finite number of days.
I can sense your excitement, I know what it's like to be excited like that, like an Amway salesman in a room filled with halfwits.
33-34 coupes are by far the best looking fords ever made. Even in stock condition. My dream car too. I guess I should be happy with what I have. The costs of those things are out of site. The alignment of the galaxies would have to align to make it happen anymore. Good for you Rock. Congratulations. Pics!
Trade a Studie for a FORD? good deal!!My bet it will have a flathead. You still have several Studes left anyway.
Coupes are for chickens....you a chicken???? Congrats Rocky. Good to see you got the ride you've always wanted. Post us some pics when you get 'em and give us a build plan when you figure it out. I like the '33-'34 coupes also.
Rocky.......I'm so stoked for you. What are you going to do with it? You wanna bring it over to my shop and work on it here?
What is ironic is that I was going thru old magazines last night and found the first pictures I ever saw of Jersey Suede!
I have a decklid with hinges. Kinda rusty on one edge, but I'd trade it for a Woody body. PM me when you're ready for it.

Congrats, Rocky. Very cool how this is coming together for you. The rest of those Studes could raise ya some money to get this thing on the road! That woody body was home-made, wasn't it? Malcolm
Congrats, Rocky! I'm glad this happened for you. Let me be the first to call "shotgun"! Way to go, brother Bil
I'm REALLY happy for you Rocky. There is no feeling like getting a dream car, especially one you thought would never happen. I'm reminded of the saying "sometimes good things do happen to GOOD people". From personal experience, you ARE good people. Frank
so, do I have to stop by and take my own pictures? pictures. pictures. pictures. pictures. I know we both laughed when we talked about finding an "affordable" coupe body and you said "well , look, you have a REAL 32 coupe"
That's great!!! Here's another nag for pictures. We do want to see her when shes dug out, even if she is in pieces.
T-Bolt nailed it: Jersey Suede is a REAL '34, with the proper number of windows! Unlike the Vista Cruiser you foolishly traded a real '53 Stude for, you leaker. I don't wanna hear you cryin' your eye off, first time you park it next to a 3-window and realize your mistake...Oh sure, I may seem biased, but really, I love 'em both. You're living my dream, brother. It's doubtful that it'll ever happen for me, since I've had my share of Model 40 fun tickets: Borrowing The Suede for a weekend and racing the 7-11 for two seasons, made me want one more than ever(!), but Karmicly, that's more fun than any human should have in one lifetime. If you have half the fun I had, you'll wear out your jawbone from grinning...congrats. Hey, before you give all the Studes away, let's build (a rough) one for the salt!
