Did the people that seen the guy know who's truck it is? If so, why didn't they come tell you right away? Did you have to go asking around? What a bunch of ass hats!! Now it's time to do some crazy kustom work to that Blue Beuaty. Good Luck and may the kustom gods be with you!!

  3. I called a drunk in on my cell here in Rapid a few years back. He stumbled outta a casino walked into the Quickie Mart, bought a tallboy and popped it open before fumbling into his car.

Since I was the one that called, I got to testify at his trial. You know in front of the crook they have you state your name and they verify your street address? Nice, I want some loser to know where my family lives..........oh yea, he had several prior convictions, one was for BESTIALITY! And this fucker knew where we lived when he got out.

    That was one badass Miata.

Bummer man, you can fix it.

  5. Bad deal, but hang in there and get it back on the road. Build a full width rear bumper out of some heavy iron and pipe so the next moron will still be there if it happens again. I had a similar problem with morons destroying my mail box where I used to live out in the country. It was by the road away from my house and it would get run over, smashed off the post, or blasted with a shotgun. I went and got some 8" square (1/4" thick) steel tube, made a door for one end and welded the other end shut. I then welded it to a piece of 4' heavy wall (1/2") tube which I sunk in a hole filled with concrete. It was never a problem after that, even after a guy hit it with a Buick. I sure hoped some young dumb ass took a shot at it with a baseball bat and got sore arm.

Can not agree with you more.

I was a paid firefighter for 18 years and seen a lot of drunk driving acc. One night about 1;00am we got called out for a MVA. We got on scene and found my bothers car with the roof down on top of the door and had to cut him out. He did recover from the acc.

He was on his way home from work when a drunk driver came over a hill and got air born landing on top of his car. Then the drunk drivers car slid down the road and flipped. Of couse the drunk driver was not hurt. Then to top it off the guy was talking smack and acting like he was not in the wrong. That pissed me off and I started to go after the guy, but before I could get to him my LT and a cop grab me. I guess it was better that they grab me.

I seen a lot of innocent people get hurt or killed by drunk drivers.

Im just glad that no one got hurt and hope that the asshat that hit truck gets what is coming to him/her.

Damn... Hope it comes back together for ya' soon. Keep yer' head up, and don't ever worry about posting a "sob-story"... We're all in this together, and a little moral support can go a long way.

frame damage may be a perfect excuse to just swap it over to a s10 frame. might be just as quick and easy as fixing the stock frame.

as said i'd put feelers out to as many body shops or probably more likely in this case salvage yards in the area as i could if a miata did that i don't think it went to far afterwards. hell he may have limped it down the block and parked it in an alley somewhere and split. esp if things weren't "legal" with the car.

and if they neighbors knew it was your truck and didn't come get you when it happened they do suck. be sure to go out of your way to NEVER help them out in any way...ken...

You have to at least give this guy some credit, even though he was drunk. He came back and made it right with you. Not many people like that left anymore......
