Albuquerque's First Annual Kustom Kulture Art Show is this weekend!. A good friend Noel from NYC is throwing this show here for us New Mexicans and I'm helping out a little bit. So all you car guys and art connoisseurs come on down and check out the local and nationally known talent......some artist have contributed that you may recognize......thanks
how do i say this without sounding insulting...you're an artist? wish i could make it down for the show to show some support, but just too much on my plate right now. good luck with the show!
OOPppsssss...Sorry about the spelling....I was in a little bit of a hurry and yes, I'm an artist...I did a lot of airbrushing back in the mini-truck days when back windows were the rage.....I started back up again....sort of
You do realize you spelled the name of your city wrong in your poster. Also, is the event at one location on one day and another the next? Your poster is confusing.
Wow, I'll be sure to check it out, ya guys might think of a little local advertising you know. First I've heard of it and I'm into that art style.
Too short notice. I would make it if I could. and yeah, you might wanna spell the name of the city right on the poster
Albuquerque has old cars? When I was a kid growing up in Albuquerque (La Vega rd) in the '70s we had about an acre covered with old cars. When we moved my dad had to give them away! As I like to say about Albuquerque...any visit where you get away without a bullet hole is a good visit!
The funny thing is...I didn't think anybody would notice the spelling of Albuquerque.....most folks don't even know where it is....hehe
bttt First I've heard of it as well - will try to get out there - no promises as I've got tons of stuff to get caught up on. This standard time, dark at 4:30 **** is killing me!
HAHAHAHA. I had a friend in High school who went to live with her dad in Abq. because she was getting into trouble here in venice CA. She came back just a few weeks later and was telling me that she was riding in a car with some cholos on central the first night she was in town and their car got shot at! My family's from Las vegas too..
I've been living here since '78....and I've never been shot at...... But then, I don't go riding around with cholos on Central The flyer just got done recently, but we've been spreading the word for a couple months now. It's the First show so after we get a feel for the response and get everybody together...I think the following years will get better. There's a few people like myself that have been doing this for a while now.......But, the whole Custom Culture Art is relatively new to Albuquerque....with the exception of the handful of Beatniks we have around here.......
Thats cool that you guys are doing this. It needs it out there. Tons of rust free old cars to be had! Ive seen some pretty cool lowriders cruising central.
