Has anyone had any experience with Wayne's engine rebuilding in Riverside, CA. I'm looking to a get a stock 283 rebuilt for my Model a Coupe and they seem like a decent operation. They want $975 to do a stock rebuild. Does this sound fair? Anyone know anything about their operation.

    Thanks

$975 sounds too cheap......I would really wonder what you are getting for that.

My other question would be, does anyone know of any other decent engine rebuilders in So- Cal that are fairly reasonable?

    thanks

I have had one engine rebuilt from Wayne's. Not bad after the second try. A real good builder is Johnson's Machine in Yucaipa. Phone 909 797 2063. He does most of the work for the rodders around this area. Excellent builder from flatheads to big blocks and all in between.
