Most all of the sewing machines are going in the dumpster. There was a TON of stuff that didn't even sell.

OK here's the standard PM response I'm sending out regarding questions about seat cover sets:

So far we still don't have any reference material for the part numbers and have been measuring widths. This should get them close enough for people to take a chance on them fitting. A few are labeled and I'll post them accordingly.

I think what I'll do is get everyone interested to PM me the width of their seats and whether they are bench or split-bench (50/50 or 60/40)(so far no buckets) and what color they'd like. Also what year, make and model, just incase I find more labeled ones. As I open and log them I'll contact people with something close to what they want.

We really don't have any fabric to speak of, mostly pre-made seat cover sets.

Great score. Right place at the right time! If you have anything for Triumph TR2, TR3 or Swallow Doretti ('54 - '55) let me know. If I don't want it I can probably find someone who does.

    Thanks,
    Kurt O.

Kirk, did they go out of business? I was going to get them to do my truck seat for me. They did some chairs for my shop and they turned out pretty nice and they did it fast and with no at***ute. Maybe they are just cleaning out some stuff to make room room for all those old cars they have in there or something.

    HOLY ****. that's a score.

Got anything for caddies. I'm having a hell of a time finding stuff for the 53.

Where do you find out about stuff like this. Oakland isn't all that far from me.

I found it on here...It was like 7 pages back one night and I can't even remember who it was that posted it. When I saw it, the thread had zero responses.

Hey ***, I just shot the ones we brought to my house. I'll post them tomorrow around noon.

I have a feeling we will need to bring more over here.

I saw that auction but had other things to do. I figured it was just fabric.

those seat covers get a big response on ebay... I just sold 5 sets that I couldn't identify. lots of interest, but few people were willing to shell out the bucks even though I had dimensions in the listing. they all had hundreds of lookers and 10 - 15 watcher each.

sold all 5 for 29.99 - 39.99 each. if I could have listed them with the cars they fit they could have gone for hundreds.

that's quite a haul to say the least.

  28. I say two guys go insane at an auction!

but it still a great score. I can't wait until your matching your outfit with your seat cover. :p

Tell me you didn't miss the hogring auction! j/k

The patterns on a couple of the display seats resemble what J.C. Whitney/Warshawski used to sell. King might have supplied them. If you dig up '70s-'80s era Whitney catalogs they may give you at least a minimum of fit information. I recall they offered matching material to use on door and kick panels.

At the right price, I'd even consider modifying a seat to use a nice looking cover.
Congrats on a great haul and best of luck!

Great score! I would be interested in one if the dimensions are close. I haven't built the seat for my truck yet. Let me know when you are going to start selling them?
