My ugly '55 Chevy 4-door with Patina

With all the recent opinions on 4-doors how bad they suck and how patina is crap and is " lazy mans paint job" posts.

I thought I would share pics of my ugly POS with PATINA. Yes it took 52 Years of Sun, rain, snow and dirt to make this car look this way, not a guy with a buffer wheel and horse piss.

I know the car sucks but Ilike it and it is fun to drive. I did a 350/350 swap and the brakes. That is all until the 2-door conversion next month once my parts show up.

Anybody else have a crappy 4-door with patina? Lets see them.

 

personally, I like your 4-door. I'm looking for one as a driver. I plan to run either black rims and whitewalls or dark gray five spokes. Enjoy it.

Yeah, I hate the word patina, but geniune survivors have a certain character to them that cannot be recreated.

Patina, patata! Any word that gets used too much as a sales ploy get's hated! Man, I love 55 Chevy's! But the only 4 door you will catch me in is a new SUV! Four doors still ain't cool in IMO! Great parts car though!

I like it. I remember as a kid in Australia just about every car was a fourdoor until the late 1970s when the manufactures finally came out with a few sporty two door models.

the tri 50s Chevy's all look better in more door body's. The proportions are better.............IMHO

 

with it rolling it gets my thumbs up! but i draw the line at 4x4 55's. (cars)

there have been a lot of posts on here about four doors being cool, and the thing stupid about patina is people who TRY for that look or who wanna spray clear coat over it to try and preserve the look!!!

It;s cool. Anybody that calls bullshit on a four door, or patina, or anything else needs an attitude adjustment. Even if greed had'nt taken over the hobby, making that same car in a 2 door hardtop out of reach for most of us, it would still be cool.
Take your girl to the local make-out spot and put that big back seat to use! The car man...... not hers.
This car thing is about havin a good time, enjoy it.

 

We all know you like it, like it is dont try to hide it and act like you only want to make a 2 door out of it........ ............I like it too!

Keep it, save the money to BUY a 2 door. Then put the $ and elbow grease into it.

I have wanted a car like that something dead reliable with some horsepower that looks pretty beat up outside. I think its cool.
