    thanks for the compliment.

i can't speak for chili phil, and i'll offend all the guys with poorly chopped cars...but the difference between SamF, me, and a few others vs. the majority, is the way we handled the rear window. most guys just lay it down until it meets the roof, which IMHO ruins the proportions of the rear of the roof, it's too slopey and the lines don't flow right. the c pillar takes on a funny shape and the window doesn't line up with the beltline trim, most can't run beltline trim. SamF lengthened the tulip panel(the panel between the decklid and rear window) a bit, still laying the window down but not as much as most. i lengthened my tulip panel even more and didn't lay the window down at all, choosing to cut the window instead.

    here's a progress shot:

So are you of the opinion that the orange sedan was chopped poorly? I myself think it looks great, actually using that car as a reference while chopping mine...

Carl Abajian '49 Chevy convertible <!-- Example how to use universal_edit() in templates -->

The '49 Cadillac grile was v-cut, split and reshaped to fit the Chevy body. The front bumper was replaced by a '49 Buick unit, The hood was smoothed and the headlights where frenched. At the rear the rear fenders where raised and reshaped to folow the trunk shape much better than stock. '50 Chrysler taillights where placed low on the rear fenders. The rear bumper is a '49 Oldsmobile unit. The body has been channeled over the frame, and painted Chromatic Blue. The Padded top and blue and white interior where created by Gaylord.
