Help!New Drag Race Event for 2008 in South Dak.

I am currently working with the owner/operator of Thunder Valley Dragways located about 20 miles West of Sioux Falls, SD. I am wanting to host a annual event starting in 2008 bringing Traditional Hotrods and pre-65 customs together w/nostalgia drag racing hosted by our car club. The cost of the event is far past anything possible for our own show to start out with. So I am looking at running the Show & Go in conjunction with other possible shows scheduled to help offset the cost. If we can put a good show this year we can get our own weekend possibly for 2009. I am right now looking for dates of other evnts, nostalgia races, and larger shows in order to not interfere with other other programs. I am looking for your support, opinions and info please post or PM if interested. Thanks

Im In! Well im not really "in" (as in cool) but I will go.........Any idea on what cl***es you will have?

 

Here is a tip, heads up and run it like the HAMB Drags.

 

Keep us posted, the drags we have been having up here are still undecided. I would sure be interested in attending.

Let us know what you come up with. I'd definitely make the trip up there and I know of quite a few others from this area that would, also.

I spent many Sundays there in the '80s and early '90s with my dad. He ran a Kawasaki drag bike.

I think you have a great idea there and I can commit 4-6 cars to compete from the Rapid City area. Post the proposed dates asap and I will spread the word in my car club. Bob Myers
