gas... check, oil...check, coolant...(yea it's still coolant it hasn't magically changed to antifreez yet with the 70 degree temps around here). Looks to be perfect driving temps.

haven't driven the truck in a while it started right up so i'm in.

It was kick *** to meet all you fine folks today! I thoroughly enjoyed it, and I'm still laughing from Sonny's stories. Can't wait to do it again. Even though he ain't on here, somebody tell Chad I said thanks for the words of encouragement. I picked up a brush and some one shot today after our get together.:D

It was great meeting some new Hamb friends (Roadracer, Stevie G, Dog Patch & wife, 8769, Big Pauly, Vegaracechic 24, Grumpy Ed, Lil' Billy, Cosmo Merc) and some old ones (GreenMtnBoy, Dvanecek), we missed seeing PBRmeASAP (Jeff & Erin) and Big A all three have left the sunny South. Also missed Tudor (Josh) who flew out of the sunny south this morning to Boston we understand.

Attached are a few pictures I was able to download from my camera before my battery became too low, it is now on the charger, hopefully a little later I will have more to post. #1 Dvanecek's bike, #2 Roadracer's 64 Catalina

I was running on about 4 hrs sleep from Saturday nights rowdy hayride into the dirty sess pool of the boulevard of broken dreams. My wake up call came from Keith a.k.a. Cosmo Merc letting me know in less than 10 minutes he would be occupying some real estate at my humble abode and would be waiting there until I came out.It only took me a few minutes to get man pretty and greet the day.As I walked out of my door Cosmo was lounged out in The Merc Chillin like Matt Dillon on Penicillin.I took a moment to gaze at his truly beautiful ride in all it's unique glory in full regalia .I slid in my 54 Ford customline "POISON IVY" and popped in my recent audio purchase of the Chop Tops cd en***led Triple deuces. as I began to engage in the ergonomic splendor of my finely appointed vinyl bench seat. The old y-block roared to life in a baritonal chorus letting me know it too was ready for "Sunday morning coming down".I hit the highway with Cosmo trailing as our cars ate the interstate with an insatiable hunger for Georgia asphalt.Upon arrival to this mecca of Greasy s****s we were greeted by the sight of some vintage tin.Real cars only at this venue no trailer queens cars ! Just the cars that people actually drive and they were as different in taste and style as the people who drove them.as we got out and began the meet and greet I was very pleased at the turn out.It was a crisp reminder that hot rodding is alive and well as some drove as far as two and a half hours to put there cars on the road and meet some other like minded people from this board. The food and service was great and the company was even better. It was truly a pleasure to meet all the different people that are p***ionate about this lifestyle and not just "ENTHUSIAST".Thank you to all who came out and I look forward to seeing you all again very soon. Until then.... Remember the Alamo and the King of Rock'n roll,
    Sonny:cool:

Really enjoyed today and getting to meet some new folks. Glad we did this. Food was great. It was so good, that Pauly and I saw a woman take a picture of her pancakes. Still confused about this.

Dave, have any pics of the striping Chad did on your rear fender? I left before he was done.

Yeah that was fun, look forward to the next one. What are the odds of getting another warm sunny Sunday in December? Did anyone else see the 63 Vette on the side of 400? We stopped to see if he needed anything. He was a very shaken German dude that had a blowout in excess of 100mph. the tire was completely shredded, but the car did not look damaged, other than maybe a foul smelling stain on the drivers seat. Anyway, it was good to meet the ones I did not know, and good to see the rest of ya.

Great meeting you Sonny, the stories of your adventures sure kept us laughing for our trip home in between Ken's naps (as I was driving).

WOW! What a great time Sunday!
I got there early (which is rare for me). I was cruising slow looking for the place and I had barely touched the brakes when half a dozzen occupationally and English language challenged gentlemen were waving frantically at me and my cool-*** farm truck:rolleyes:.
Lil Billy showed up a couple of minutes later in his deffinately non-mullet '69 Camaro. Billy, that thing is cool, HAMB friendly or not.
The next thing I knew, I see Ken & Vicky come cruising around the corner in the Caddy! What a suprise:D. Now keep in mind, they live in Greenville SC. and they drove all the way down for a breakfast meeting that could have been a total flop:cool::cool::cool:. Great as allways to see you two again.
More and more people began showing up, and pretty soon The Skillet staff came out to get a head count so they could set up a place for all of us. They did'nt even know we were coming.
It was great to see and meet everyone. We will definately do this again!

yeah the welcome parade of our southern day-laborer workers was had to ignore!!
Hey Pauly how many woman did you have to beat off today at work with that new fancy cologne.:D
Hey Sonny mind your manners round the ladyboys, now ya here!
Great food, cars and good conversation and of course a great day to ride through georgia is all the reason to roam.
Hope to see everyone soon and I hope all y'all have a Merry Christmas!! yes I said "all yall":D:p

  29. Well it looks like I missed a pretty good one. You boys and girls need to keep this going. I'm slightly miffed that you're wearing t-shirts in December, I've got a foot of snow on the ground here.

Very cool to see Ken and Vicki made it down. I'll be crossing paths with you folks in Detroit if you make the trek. Then I'll see ya in Texas... then Missouri... maybe Utah?

Randy, there you go teaching me new words again :D

Dave, let's see the new lines. Speaking of lines, izzat a new helmet? Looks like a prime candidate.

Cheers all. I'll be down there again one of these days.

Damn...one of these days I'm gonna make it to one of these. Until then I'll just sneak in the swapmeet....pee in the bushes.....and knock the porta-potty's around with my truck.
