    SPUN

Spun is a fledgling company offering parts for hot rodders who prefer
clean, classically designed accessories to ever-changing fads. We've
known all along that you can't improve a Deuce grille shell, that bones
were meant to be split, and that rubber only comes one way - bias. Call
it having an eye for detail or just knowing what's cool...

It's in these design foundations of hot rodding that we found
inspiration for our new wheel cover. We spent hours staring blankly into
freshly Spun aluminum, months designing and refining, and nights
dreaming up design details and tooling parameters. We see and value the
art of hot rodding and the like the generations of speed equipment
designers before us, we strive to ensure that form follows function. If
that sounds remotely like something you relate to, we think you'll get
    what we are doing here.

Simply put, we're an outfit that appreciates something that's right.

I've had them in my hands. They are simply amazing...

    Trademark? Yes.

    Copyright? Yes.

Patent? Not yet. That said, if someone pulls a fancy one I will pull the HAMB card faster than you can say, "I just*****ed myself in the most royal way imaginable..."

Give Kevin props for his first web design... Looks great.

Who made the accessory wheel covers like that back in the day? I've heard they are very desirable. This solves my quest. I've wanted to have a set for a while. I will be a customer. Looks too******in'! I would be interested in seeing a few photos on how they secure. Is there more than just the hubcap holding them on? Do you use screws like a regular moon disc? Thanks, These are the kinda products we need.

.......Fascinating! Are you gonna make them for any other wheels? I have a set of 16" [and a set of 15"] early GM wheels with the clip-held center caps that would certainly benefit from a set of those babys.

Pretty cool. I guess the price on the heavily pitted 35 wires just went up. Are you working on a set for the inside? Real hot rods don't have fenders ya know.

I'll repeat Rocky's inquiry. Are there plans for any that would fit any different diameter wheels. I have a set of 16" wires that have been professionally changed to 15" and a set of those would be a most welcome addition. Please, Please!!! I'm thinking some that fit 15" would sell like hotcakes.
This kind of an announcement is most welcome on the HAMB,IMO.

I'll leave the questions for Kevin to answer... He doesn't have a machine at home, so he'll be back on tomorrow...

Allright. Sorry. Like Ryan said I don't have a machine at home so here goes.

The disks are Spun from an 1000 series aluminum blank that is .060 thick. You lose a bit of thickness in the spinning process...I don't have one right here but that ends up somewhere between a penny and a nickel if you need a layman's measure. (I do)

Yes the disks are screw on like the old moon disks. This is a roll your own type of deal. Hot rodding being what it is I don't really think I'm qualified to tell you what pattern you HAVE to run as far a mounting screws go. I recomend at least three screws but I personally prefer four for asthetics. You might want six? I supply a paper pattern and the hardware though. You CAN snap them on with just the center cap BUT...there are variances since I didn't manufacture the center caps so I can't guarantee them to stay put without screws. My personal set will be screwed on. (four screws)

The good thing about screwing them on is that you don't HAVE to have 16" Ford wires to run them...you can screw them to any 16" wheel and have the look since the center cap pops right into the disc itself.

Fifteen inch discs? That could definitely happen. I concentrated on sixteens because it seemed like the obvious choice. I wasn't going to sink time and money into something so cool if it didn't fit my own car, right? [IMG] I am most likely going to do eighteens of the Aero Disc next but customer and potential customer feedback will be the ultimate deciding factor.

I've got some other things coming down the pike but I need to get this established first. You won't be disappointed. No dodads - just hot rod parts.

Hope I didn't miss any questions. I'll read back through to make sure. And thanks for the support.
