reminds me of back in the day when i had a 63 riviera with hydraulics, i'd fake dumb****s out on the street by hittin the switch as i launch, catching some air in the process...

That's how my grandmother use to launch her Buick when she was taking off to hit the bingo clubs.

  11. That Bubbletop has been posted here before. Runs a W motor.Wisconsin car I believe? Guys that have seen it say the floorpan has split and been rewelded many times from the twisting and that he routinely shatters rear windows on launch!

The Buick is a perfect sleeper.............love to have that car for an evening!

I keep seeing that 60 chev on the previews for the "Launch Hour" thing on speed t.v.
Those hubcaps look to be screwed down on the buick, that thing is a sleeper in all sense of the word. There used to be a 64 chev ll in NewportNews in the mid 80's that was a 4 door with baby seats in the back. That thing was running a big block and somehow would hook hard, he whipped my *** good one night...lol

    Groucho,

Thank you for posting that. There's a '72 4-dr Skylark that's been parking in front of my work, and, well.... I've had thoughts.

The 1970 Pontiac 'Lemanster' always launched crazy, campaigned some years back by Bill Bolin out of MD.

  21. Can you say NO CH***IS TUNING ??? Makes for an interesting photo but that's being on the verge of losing control. Unexcusably stupid if you ask me.

    Dude
That is clearly Photoshop! You can easily see where they erased the ramp out from under the drivers front tire! :D
Just Kidding! Great front popping pics!

  23. And THAT is the reason modern "dragracing" ****s! Square launching doorslammers on delay boxes and rev limiters are boring! Gimme one of these cars or Wild Willie crossed up with his arm on the door ANY DAY!

I love the quote "is this rigged in a special way or something?"

Uh, yeah dude, it's called a "rear mounted engine and ******".

And that Buick kicks ***. I bet he's seriously hurt some feelings at the stoplight with that evil *****.
