  2. I don't know about any brand being better then another but I found it easier to use a skinny white then a raised white letter tire. If you hunt you might find a few posts on here about others that have done it. Make sure and get a tire to practice on. Good luck grinding.

You're going to make your own World Wide Web with a grinder? Man, I really don't understand these computer things.

General XP2000GTs seem to be the best for me so far.

If you are going to buy tires to grind, why don't you just by the tires that you need?

Less see here....here are some of mine with the grinders..

General XP2000GT Raised white letter run flats, BUT there are 2 types...1 has the tread on the side (wierd design) other doesnt. You want the one with the tread on the side. You will know it when you see it, its not smooth. Look close. These come out awesome.

Oh and the front one is, rear isnt. I believe this was a Firestone F440 or something. Came up nice.

  12. You can get Coker 78 series for under $100, and they won't be radials.

i've buffed many a whitewall through out the years, and my experience is that raised white letter tires have more white on the sidewall. better for making wider whites. depending on the size you gonna use, i'd find one with the raised letters

Pan dragger, yep...same here. Ever do a set of BFG? Cliffy on here did one, looked rad.

51, the one you picked was actually a bs set of vulcanized radials...Dayton or some shit I think. 2nd set I had, peeled off the tire a bit...swap meet tires really.
