First I live in San Antonio, Texas. I purchased a 59 Cadillac Coupe DeVille that does not have a title. I'm trying to find the easiest way to get a new one. PLEASE HELP.

Did you get a proper bill of sale?
That will help in your quest for a title.

I got a written piece of paper with the VIN and total price from the guy. What else should I get from the guy?

how it works here in michigan is u have to go to your loacal police and ask them to come look at the car and run the vin number to make sure its not stolen then, they will give you a letter saying that its all good. next u have to send away to the dmv applying for a new title. i guess we are one of the easier states to get a title from what ive heard. but if u dont want to deal with it id be glad to take the cad off your hands [IMG]

53choptop, would you mind forwarding me that information also. Since you have Texas experience. I don't know if my '36 would be easier or not since there were no serial numbers then.
