That's a decent looking body design for a Mopar from that era!

I know you're not planning on using the 6, but what's this here thing that I circled?

The 51-52 Belvederes are rare in that you don't see alot of them and really compared to other models that year there weren't alot of them built but not worth a lot of $. I have a 1951 Belvedere that has 49K on it, my dad bought it in 1981 from the org 85 year old owner. My plan is to get rid of the flathead for a big block mopar storker and a 5-speed, drop it and just clean it up and drive the **** out of it. No plans on selling it i grew up around it so its part of the family, i bought it about 6 years ago from dad. I know of 1 other 51 and a 52 in this area.

Good man Glendale....cool body style but you had to make it reliable and fast :D

  6. ok ok....i can see how a flathead 6 aint that fast, but come on its totally reliable. My engine is going on 115,000 miles and still has pep and go. Im gunna keep it after I swap it out with the rebuilt/hopped up 6 I am building now.

  7. It does look like a dual exaust, but it seems to stick up through the manifold too? If it really is a dual, I'm sure you could sell the manifold in a hurry for more than enough to be worth the time to take it off there.

Exactly...I am sure any napa or whatever would cary sbc stuff vs. a flathead 6...eventhough any flathead out there is pretty damn cool...but seriously before I knew that my flathead was stuck and basically s.o.l...i was gonna keep it original...there is just something about original that I love...cause I love the 30's , 40's and 50's as they were...(not just cars)...so to have something that was exactly like how it was back in the day...would be cool...def...but like I said I got a good deal on this 327...which seems like those are getting pretty scarce these days also...and decided to go with something a little more reliable and can throw in the 350 turbo trans. and cruise it and have some fun with it...plus if my wife wants to take it she wont have to worry about all the three on the tree non-sense(for her)...I think the three speed and the fact that 60mph is FAST...is kinda cool and cl***y!...but what do you do...

so how much you think I could sell that dual for?...or is there anything worth keeping or trying to sell on this motor...it was totally complete just really in bad shape...and stuck...haha...oh wells...
