I can't decide. I KNOW I should like the Supremes, cause I usually do. But there is something about the paint and the supremes that aren't jiving for me. It's almost like the paint is too modern and the wheels look like they wish they were big inch Torque Thrusts. Maybe it's just the angle and lighting on that pick. Weird. The shot in the garage with the chromies looks bad *** and I get it right away... it's a custom. There's just something about that first shot that looks confusing visually. Why that is, doesn't seem to make much sense to me either.
Damn Groucho, your quick. I dont even think my Pops has made it home with the wheels yet!! As for the Supremes, Id have to say... just different. Both look *****en. Supremes have little more of a lowrider feel to me, and I dig lowriders. Anyway, thanks for the wheels!
Here's my buddy's on supremes (I just shot it for my barber's calendars, PrimerDave knows 'em both)... I think yours would work with either wheels.. <img src= http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/ee254/designisgraphic/elco01.jpg> <img src= http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/ee254/designisgraphic/elco03.jpg> <img src= http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/ee254/designisgraphic/5x7cal_elco.jpg> -Juan
I like 'em both. Howz about this : Put the Supremes on one side and the smoothies on the other. That way you can have your cake and eat it too. Plus, you'll really confuse a lot of folks.
The supremes look great. Cragars would have looked good too. I was never a fan of the smoothies on that car.
Sorry....but I'm gonna be no help here. It's looks pretty *****in' both ways. Hang on to both sets of wheels & change 'em whenever you get the itch to switch.
You can't go wrong either way. I personally prefer the short bullets on chrome. A little more unusual, like you vette'd styling. But I can see this one going either way. You've got nice toys and good taste. Lucky *******.
You ran with the smoothies, so run it with the supremes! Then you can go with redlines (or pinners) and cragars when your sick of the supremes
If it weren't for the Shannons those chrome wheels would look like any other cheap wheel, I like the Supremes on almost any mid-60's car.
From an optical illusion standpoint, the smoothies make it look lower. Your just gonna sell it anyway, so what difference does it make? (hurry up and get rid of it---I wanna see what you drag home next )
Normally my choice would be chrome steel's, but the supreme's do look real nice on that car and given the image the car has i think they just 'fit' better than the 'cones.
they both look good, but you do see a lot of supremes now, im with tubman, steelies on one side supremes on other
