My friend bought this little 29 RPU last summer. He has been driving it around since, so I was surprised when he called me the other day and asked if I wanted to buy the body. I thought he lost his mind, why would he want to sell the body??? Well, he is a woody guy, and turns out he had bought a complete wooden RPU body from a guy back east. A deal was made, and today we stripped it. It was kindda sad, the truck was great as-is. This is the nicest orriginal A body I have ever seen. No rot or dents AT ALL!!!! I got the complete body, inerior, windshield frame, splash aprons, hood and shelves.

    What do you guys think??

I think you're an early Ford magnet.

Wow, great score Chris. Any chance of you putting it together with fenders?

Yeah, I'm thinking it will be full fendered. I have a complete A running/driving frame, so if I could scrounge some fenders, I would have a damn near complete running/driving RPU! Then again, a V8, three speed, juice brakes, and a dropped axle would be ideal, but thats just another project ;) I may get it on the road, then go from there.

I gotta make sure I can fit in it and drive it first (I'm 6'4!!!)

Chris...My old `29 RPU was a comfy fit for me...I`m 5ft11 and 200lbs...took the saet riser out and made a seat bottom out of plywood and webbing. Had a 289/c4 combo. Never had a top, tho....

Yeah, I drove this truck when it was togeather. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. I may do a few things to make it a little bigger...lower seat riser, raise the colum drop. See if I can squeeze a little more space into it ;)

Man, I don't know. It's real tight in mine, and you've got five inches on me.
