Yes....wednesday we found out we are gonna have twin girls in April! We could not be more excited and knowing the gender makes it more "real" now like this is really happening. Anyway, do I wish there was a little Vinnie in there? I sure do but girls can be into cars just like the boys!!!! Anybody have a daughter that loves the cars and loves to be with dad and the car? (mom too sometimes) Care to share a story????? My wife will teach them to be girlie and I'll teach them how to adjust the valves on the flathead. Cant see the grease under painted fingernails now can ya?:)

We have twins, a boy and a girl. They are eight now, and have already traveled much of the country doing car stuff with us. It's great for a family to do together. Bless your wife's heart, it's impossible to tell you what it will be like, but suffice to say, she's going to need a lot of help. I hope it will be the best thing that has ever happened to you. Sleep now, you'll need it.

As a daddy to twin girls I can tell you you are in for a treat, and for times you'll want to pull your hair out. lol

Both of mine are now in their 30's and doing great. Just take everything most people go thru and double it. Twice as many skinned knees, two first bikes, two prom dresses, twice the broken hearts, and the most important, double the love.

Oh and once they get interested in boys, Hell, you can't shoot the boys off the porch fast enough, even with momma reloadin'.

Congrats, you're in for quite a ride. And from one who's been there, It's well worth the effort.

Thanks for the kind words of wisdom! My wifes a little thing and shes getting a nice round belly already. Shes finding out that she cant do what she used to. I am already taking on alot of stuff so she gets her rest. I dont sleep much these days anyway so I'll be the one up all night with the feeding and changing. I welcome it all! It was a tough road to get where we are today (reproductive wise that is)

That's so cool!! My mom had her set of twins (my brother & me) at the age of 19, and my sister before that! I can't tell you what parenting will be like,...but, I can tell you those girls will have a bond with each other you can't have with a regular sibling, it's special! Congrats!!

Girls are fun, but instead of standing on that porch with your shotgun and momma reloadin the buckshot, ask Santa for one of these:

Hey Skipper, thanks for calling us "cute"! Ya know sitting in Jim's pickup together kinda reminded me of sitting in our double-stroller!

My wife and I had our twin girls over 31 years ago after 9 months of expecting only one baby! Our oldest(by 10 minutes) is now an Elementary School Art Teacher after spending 10 years as a working/starving artist. The younger angel is a part of the oil exploration business world awaiting the birth of her first baby mid-year next.
You'll never have such an equally wonderful and frustrating job in your lives as running herd on twins, but the rewards...man they can't be better!

As a father of twin girls, I can say you are in for the time of your life. Being a gearhead of sorts, I was fortunate with girls because I was never much for sports as a young man. Girls turned out to be great companions and shared my love of cars.

You're lucky, at least you know they're coming. Thirty-two years ago there was no way to predict; and boy were we surprised! Now they're both married and we were just blessed with a new Grandson this past fall & he's getting his first hot rod for Christmas. A black 32 ford pedal car that matches PaPa's.

Now we just found out the other twin is expecting twins! What a treat. And, no history of twins in my family or my wife's.

Enjoy the journey-you are in for the time of your life. Savor every moment and share as much as you can. Too many of the old traditions are going away.

You are very fortunate & I'm happy for you.

Congrats dude, Your gonna love it if you like a project. Most dad's get to sit back and watch with one at a time, but with twins you gotta getcha hands dirty too. We have twins girls now 3 years old. They went to lonestar roundup for the first time in momma's belly and every time since in the car seats in the back of my shoebox. Just make sure you have a car with a big trunk. Good Luck and Enjoy them, you really are blessed!!!!

What fun! I'm an identical twin, and have fraternal twin sons.

Congrats, and good luck! You'll get to sleep again after they turn two or three years old.

  21. Congrats. My wife and I are expecting our second in May. Our first is a girl, she's 2 1/2 now and knows what a Hot Rod is and shouts it out every time we see one. She also keeps asking when we car drive the blue car in the garage. Good luck with the twins.

Jimmy Vaughn. We all know his cars, and probably his music (The Fabulous Thunderbirds, etc.) has twin daughters. They're about 3 now. I've run into his wife a few times at California car shows, pushing 'em around. A couple of little cuties!

Congrats bud! Hellfish and his lovely wife are also expecting twin girls. Wouldn't it be something if 20 years from now all 4 girls were on the HAMB and telling these boys a thing or two about building hot rods.:D

I am the father of twin girls,,and they were born in april also,,,they will be 31 in 2008,,,,

And they are different as night and day!

One loves old cars and one loathes old cars,,,

One drove a 64 falcon until last year ,,,the other girl jumped ship and likes hondas,,,where did I go wrong?

We brought them home from the hospital in a 40 ford sedan,,,,they grew up hearing compressors running outside their bedroom window.HRP

All I can say is WOW!!!! Thanks for all the great thoughts and congrats about this new chapter in our lives. Yeah, ya cant force em to be into cars but they'll gravitate to it if it strikes them. Doctor says everything looks great and April will be here before ya know it. trying to get the 54 ford running so they can come home in a cool bagged custom instead of wifeys wiener mobile. Thanks again to all.........

heh! My wife has already informed me that she will take them into the garage and teach them about cars... while I have to learn all about tea parties and hair braids. Between my wife and I, these 2 will learn about tools and cars for sure. My wife wasn't allowed to drive as a teen unless she knew her way around the car first.

As for guns... nah... too traceable. One word. Machete! Much more threatening because it implies *hacking* and a whole lot of pain... and it's noot so easily traceable. I figured future suitors will see the ol' rusty machete with a freshly sharpened blade, then I will show them how big the trunk in the 59 is...
