I've got a line on a 59 t-bird (square bird) rag top that I might be buying. Just wanted to get an idea in my head before I go get it. The only ones I've seen customized have a little drop and cragar s/s or something of the sort.

Anyone have pics of any of these customized in the 60s, preferably early?

    Thanks!

I've been wanting one since I was in high school, way too long ago. Never thought I'd be able to get a convertible, but I may get lucky here.

Here's a 1960 bird I have. These cars go good - 300 hp, 352 cu in. My car is a fairly uncommon factory color. The car looks pretty much like it did the day it left the factory except for a set of Goodyear wide white radial tires. There are a lot of parts available for these cars too.

    Good Luck!

Here is a pic of my 60. It's just a mild custom now but I am in the process of putting a 56 Ford dash it it, shaved with custom gages. It has 59 Caddy taillights. semi-shaved door handles, disc brakes, and lowered. The front bumper will be replaced with a smoothed bumper with the guards and bolts shaved this winter also.

I dont know if you've seen ours. 59 bird, I extended the headlight hoods and frenched the headlights, reshaped the hood scoop, 57 merc grille with bullets on ends, extended fins by 1/2" and cut them back to make scoops for the antenneas, 57 plymouth and 64 merc taillights and reshaped the dash.

Saw it in the new rolls and pleats. Got any close ups of the grill work. Looks killer.

I just got a 59 T-Bird convertible. I'm trading labor for it. It has the original engine and transmission in it. I also have a 84 T-Bird with a 5.0, with a C-6 ******. Don't you think that would make a good donor car for the 59? This is how I found it. It's going to be a Kustom, because stock ****S.
