wire wheel question?????

    who's running ford wire wheels in the rear with a sbc??? i am and i'm a little concerened about breaking them cause of the horsepower. anyone have any input? i was think about using saftey wire on the spokes.

    I would say it is a terrible idea for anything but a show queen. Why set yourself up?

    I can't get enough traction from the skinny tires to ever worry about breaking the rims.

    You could step up to a Kelsey Hayes wire wheel. The exact same look only ALOT more stronger.

    with a SBC and 16" 600,700,750's you will never get enough traction to hurt them. if there in good shape I would not think twice about it.

    wire wheel mostly come apart at super high speeds
