That was just an example to show that the error I was getting . It was telling me I needed to add more words in the search function. That was the ***le word for word, just missing the word "but".....

I thought for sure it would hit on it, that's the only example I could think of recently. Maybe I should just start with one word.

OK, not to harp on this, but not all hambers are super computer savvy.

OK, let's say you wanted to find this post but you couldn't remember that I posted it.

Just start with the ***le 1 word at a time and use the pop up search feature without going advanced.

Just trying to help Ryan with something he probably doesn't get a perspective on, since he is a computer guy.

Search ****on flags a ton of unconnected results...Admin..is right about search command but only if it's operating properly. Obviously if it's not the member is simply going to return to the boards and pop the question hopefully not to have it deleted.

Wow...this thread is really great. It's asked and answered allot of questions I've had since rejoinging the HAMB. The stats that Ryan has quoted really blow me away. I've owned several sites that I've tracked with different stat keeping programs (thanks to an informative webmaster) and to see that the hang time on this site is so high, says something very positive about the site.
I was a member years ago when I lived in Florida and really enjoyed it here. When I moved to southern Illinois I was not able to get high speed internet so I waited to get acess until it was available earlier this year. When I rejoined I went through the whole "FNG" thing, and got trashed on my first thread...made me a little gun shy to be very honest...but I stayed and have been soooo glad I did.
This is the greatest hot rod community in the world...bar none... According to my wife, I spend way too much time here. In my opinion I don't spend enough....Two different opinions....Kinda like the HAMB only here there are 37,000 different opinions. That's what makes it so great.
I guess what I really want to say is " A huge Thank You to Ryan and everyone involved in keep this board going" Sometimes the HAMB is the only link we have to the world that we really love. When I say "world" I mean just that. I've met and done business with people from around the county and around the world.
If there are things have to be deleted to keep the focus then so be it...Personally, I'm just glad that there are people like Ryan and Rashy that care enought to make those decisions...'nuff said....

Damn, most weekdays I find myself refreshing the site a dozen or more times and must spend an hour on here. Just spent 2 hours reading just now.

The fact that 20k users logged on in last 30 days is amazing to me, I ***umed most were long gone..

Just wanted to say thanks for letting my truck build thread go on, i've had some reply's to it that I think were done more than anything to get it closed for "bashing" but I appreciate you guys (mods) letting it go on, hopefully the truck will be drivable soon and I can stop on the build post. Thanks Ryan for getting this place going and ALL the work to keep it right.

Haven't been on here long but it is obvious to me that someone has to monitor this site. When you have 40,000 + members you are going to have some **** that gets on here that shouldn't be on here. I have seen in a short period of time that despite some differences that crop up from time to time that this is one of the better sites and I am proud to be ***ociated with it and I think that our moderators do an exceptional job of trying to keep it on track. I wouldn't want that job for anything. I think it would help if a FNG had to review rules before they are allowed to do anything and have them check off that they understand what they can and can't do and how to search the site for answers rather than post a question thats been ask and answered before. when I first joined I didn't know which way was up. Still learning every day.
keep up the good work guys! Thanks. BOBBY FORD

Wow, those stats are amazing! :eek:Thanks for sharing. 15 minutes is a big deal on my company website as well. I use Extreme Tracker and love it. It is able to literally map out worldwide who is on my site, how long, how they go there and what they looked at. Technology is great!:D

    I'm a numbers geek too:eek:
